They say that love is often found in the most unexpected of places, no exception to this rule is the new-found alliance between the hip hop duo ICP (Insane Clown Posse), their fans known as Juggalos, and the middle aged (male) die-hard fans of My Little Pony known as Bronies.
The strange alliance was announced Monday July 20th on the Sirius XM station The Shock Shack. The horror- rap duo from Detroit Michigan known as the Insane Clown Posse, or ICP for short, were featured guests on the Shock Shack’s weekday afternoon show All things Shock with D.J SiKK (pronounced D.J Sick). Insane Clown Posse members Violent Jay and Shaggy 2 Dope who have made multiple appearances on the show were both in attendance on Monday’s program.
According to the duo, they have received an overwhelming amount of support via social media and fan email from members of the Brony community. The duo said that they have been aware of the Juggalo/Brony crossover for a long time, however the support from Bronies has been pouring in at mass levels recently and due to their inability to respond to all fan messages, they wanted to address the topic publicly.
Violent Jay made the following comment on air, “There is not a huge difference between Bronies and Juggalos, we both misunderstood and treated like ‘expletive’ by society because they think we’re weird, the important thing is that they good people and treat each other like family because they are family.”
The duo extended an alliance between the Brony and Juggalo families and cleverly named the members that fall within the crossover crowd, Juggalonies. They duo proceeded to extended a mass invite for all Juggalonies to be in attendance at this year’s Gathering of the Juggalo’s festival. According to Violent Jay and Shaggy 2 Dope, they have their suspicions that Juggalonies have been in attendance at previous festivals but identified only as Juggalos for fear of criticism from the other Juggalos.
The duo sent a message to all Juggalo’s to show Juggalonies the love and respect that they would show to fellow Juggalo’s and Juggalettes. They concluded the interview by saying that everyone should be prepared to see a lot of Juggalonies getting down at the festival decked out in both Juggalo and Brony attire and to throw them a “Woot Woot”.
